Why Choose Us?

History, Reputation, and Proven Stability of the World's Oldest Bartending School

In 1951, American Bartending School opened its doors at 334 South Wabash (just above Ronny's Steakhouse), Chicago, IL. Today, the American Professional Bartending School's Chicago campus is located just 3 blocks south of the original school, at 634 South Wabash.

With over 64 years of continuous operation in Chicago, we are the oldest Bartending School in the world. No one knows Chicago and bartending employers like us.

Many generations and thousands of bartenders, bar managers and bar owners are former graduates and alumni members of our schools. We continually enhance and upgrade our courses to reflect the changing trends and tastes of bar customers.

We know and understand Chicago - we own it. Well over 100,000 people have taken our courses in Chicagoland since 1951. It is not uncommon to have referrals from grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles that have taken the course over the last 64 years. They have first hand knowledge of the value of our training and reputation in Chicagoland.

Our instructors and staff are continually recognized by our graduates for their extraordinary committment and effort to ensure their success. Our instructors average more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and education marketplaces.

We offer the most experienced and sophisticated job placement operation in the industry offering free life time personalized placement support for our graduates. Our online job placement database is available to our graduates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

WE WORK WITH ALL SCHEDULES TO ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL NEEDS.
